Reduction in 40 is determined as part of the PIR requirements class (not through the sales requirements type/class). In 40, the standard is VSF/101. In OMPO you can see that there is consumption, and that reduction for this class is "blank" - No reduction of ind. reqmts (only in withdrwl for sales ord).
DB, Thanks for the reply.. I was just testing in the system to see what this indicator does for strategy 40 from PIR requirements side..
VSF - 10
Planned order to production - 10
did production for 5
so stock is 5
then created a customer requirement for 5
then changed the config in OPMO from blank to X and also to V.. and then ran MRP and looked at the MD04 screen. I dint see any difference in the screen. what difference should I expect? if at all PIR gets reduced by the customer requirements, where shoudl I check that? I checked MD62 also and did not notice any difference between blank, X and V..
do I have to do GI to the customer order in order to see a difference?
There are cases where you may not want requirements consumption, but you still wish to have requirements reduction (such as strategy 10, where the standard is PIR LSF/100 and Sales KSL/030). Here, setting the Reduction flag in the Sales Requirements Class still allows requirements Reduction, even though there is no consumption/reduction determined through the PIR class.
I guess, here you are talking about sales order requirements. here when you say requirements get reduced..you are talking about PIR requirements or customer requirements?
Thx
