Hello All,
Thanks very much for taking time to read my question and any help/direction that you can provide for a possible solution to the below issue.
We are trying to enable costing based COPA for my company, who already has account based COPA enabled since 2006. I am running the settlement program (CJ88) for an existing WBS element after the costing based COPA is enabled and the operating concern is regenerated. These WBS element already has some settlement documents created in AUAK and AUAS tables before the costing based COPA is enabled.
While trying to settle using CJ88, I am getting the error:
No assignment made to value fld for PA transfer str. Z1, assignment no.
Message no. KF009
I have defined all assignment line for the PA transfer str Z1 and the value field are all correctly assigned with indicator 3. PA transfer structure Z1 is completely configured.
I did some debugging on the settlement program and it is considering the previous settlement transactions for the WBS element and its details while running the new settlement program.
When we defined the "Z1" (PA Transfer Structure), we defined assignment line 10, 20 and 30 for Revenue, Primary Cost and Secondary Cost respectively. Below settlement items in AUAS table were created for the WBS element for the already existing settlements, before the costing based COPA was enabled and the Z1 PA transfer structure was defined.
When trying to run a new settlement (CJ88 for the project or WBS element), the new settlement document gets "PATransStrAssig" as either 10, 20 or 30 depending on the cost element. That does not go well with the already existing settlement documents created for the same WBS element because the field is blank for the existing data in AUAS.
When I populated the "PATransStrAssig" with a value (e.g: 30) for the existing data through debug, the settlement ran ok.
My understanding was that the CJ88 or KO88 will only look at the settlement rule master data for the cost object with the Z1 populated as PA transfer Str and will work fine. I searched the forum and discussed about the error with some of my colleagues and no one has dealt with this issue before.
Do you know of any solution to update the existing data or some other setting which will allow the new settlement to go through with the existing documents?
Thanks again for any help and suggestions.
